Avec son orgue Hammond, Il a réussi à fusionné le jazz et la pop anglaise dans son groupe Brian Auger’s Oblivion Express qu’il a fondé en 1970.
Ses deux albums phares avec cette formation sont bien entendu les opus Live Oblivion, Volume 1 (le bleu sorti en 1974) et Live Oblivion, Volume 2 (le rose sorti en 1976).
